THE BOOK
Several years ago, Oliver Rogers reread some scriptures and saw them with a fresh perspective. He began to question views on justification held by many theologians and clergy since the time of Martin Luther.
The conclusion Oliver reached was that scriptures pertaining to our justification are more accurately translated “faith of Christ” as opposed to how most modern versions render them as “faith in Christ.” (See Romans 3:22, Galatians 2:16, etc.).
He discovered that one small word change has huge implications. It requires human beings to rely on the perfect faith of Jesus Christ for our justification, redemption and reconciliation to the Father as opposed to our placing an imperfect faith in Christ alone.
To back up his argument, Rogers considers a number of related questions:
- “What is God like?”
- “Why did God create human beings?”
- “What was the true nature of Jesus while living on Earth?”
- “Will my faith save me?”
You will find compelling answers to these and many other questions in The Faith of Christ.
Oliver Rogers is highly skilled at pulling out the true meaning of scripture in this deeply meaningful, yet very accessible book. Whether you’re a member of the clergy, an educator, or a member of the general public, The Faith of Christ will challenge you, enlighten you, and encourage you to think about the relationship of Christ’s faith, our faith, and salvation in a way you never have before.
